箴28:1 惡人雖無人追趕也逃跑、義人卻膽壯像獅子。
The wicked flee when no man pursueth: but the righteous are bold as a lion.
箴28:2 邦國因有罪過、君王就多更換．因有聰明知識的人、國必長存。
For the transgression of a land many are the princes thereof: but by a man of understanding and knowledge the state thereof shall be prolonged.
箴28:3 窮人欺壓貧民、好像暴雨沖沒糧食。
A poor man that oppresseth the poor is like a sweeping rain which leaveth no food.
箴28:4 違棄律法的、誇獎惡人．遵守律法的、卻與惡人相爭。
They that forsake the law praise the wicked: but such as keep the law contend with them.
箴28:5 壞人不明白公義．惟有尋求耶和華的無不明白。
Evil men understand not judgment: but they that seek the Lord understand all things.
箴28:6 行為純正的窮乏人、勝過行事乖僻的富足人。
Better is the poor that walketh in his uprightness, than he that is perverse in his ways, though he be rich.
箴28:7 謹守律法的是智慧之子．與貪食人作伴的、卻羞辱其父。
Whoso keepeth the law is a wise son: but he that is a companion of riotous men shameth his father.
箴28:8 人以厚利加增財物、是給那憐憫窮人者積蓄的。
He that by usury and unjust gain increaseth his substance, he shall gather it for him that will pity the poor.
箴28:9 轉耳不聽律法的、他的祈禱也為可憎。
He that turneth away his ear from hearing the law, even his prayer shall be abomination.
箴28:10 誘惑正直人行惡道的、必掉在自己的坑裡．惟有完全人、必承受福分。
Whoso causeth the righteous to go astray in an evil way, he shall fall himself into his own pit: but the upright shall have good things in possession.
箴28:11 富足人自以為有智慧．但聰明的貧窮人、能將他查透。
The rich man is wise in his own conceit; but the poor that hath understanding searcheth him out.
箴28:12 義人得志有大榮耀．惡人興起人就躲藏。
When righteous men do rejoice, there is great glory: but when the wicked rise, a man is hidden.
箴28:13 遮掩自己罪過的、必不亨通．承認離棄罪過的、必蒙憐恤。
He that covereth his sins shall not prosper: but whoso confesseth and forsaketh them shall have mercy.
箴28:14 常存敬畏的、便為有福．心存剛硬的、必陷在禍患裡。
Happy is the man that feareth alway: but he that hardeneth his heart shall fall into mischief.
箴28:15 暴虐的君王轄制貧民．好像吼叫的獅子、覓食的熊。
As a roaring lion, and a ranging bear; so is a wicked ruler over the poor people.
箴28:16 無知的君多行暴虐．以貪財為可恨的、必年長日久。
The prince that wanteth understanding is also a great oppressor: but he that hateth covetousness shall prolong his days.
箴28:17 背負流人血之罪的、必往坑裡奔跑、誰也不可攔阻他。
A man that doeth violence to the blood of any person shall flee to the pit; let no man stay him.
箴28:18 行動正直的、必蒙拯救．行事彎曲的、立時跌倒。
Whoso walketh uprightly shall be saved: but he that is perverse in his ways shall fall at once.
箴28:19 耕種自己田地的、必得飽食．追隨虛浮的、足受窮乏。
He that tilleth his land shall have plenty of bread: but he that followeth after vain persons shall have poverty enough.
箴28:20 誠實人必多得福、想要急速發財的、不免受罰。
A faithful man shall abound with blessings: but he that maketh haste to be rich shall not be innocent.
箴28:21 看人的情面、乃為不好．人因一塊餅枉法、也為不好。
To have respect of persons is not good: for for a piece of bread that man will transgress.
箴28:22 人有惡眼想要急速發財、卻不知窮乏必臨到他身。
He that hasteth to be rich hath an evil eye, and considereth not that poverty shall come upon him.
箴28:23 責備人的、後來蒙人喜悅、多於那用舌頭諂媚人的。
He that rebuketh a man afterwards shall find more favour than he that flattereth with the tongue.
箴28:24 偷竊父母的、說、這不是罪．此人就是與強盜同類。
Whoso robbeth his father or his mother, and saith, It is no transgression; the same is the companion of a destroyer.
箴28:25 心中貪婪的、挑起爭端．倚靠耶和華的、必得豐裕。
He that is of a proud heart stirreth up strife: but he that putteth his trust in the Lord shall be made fat.
箴28:26 心中自是的、便是愚昧人．憑智慧行事的、必蒙拯救。
He that trusteth in his own heart is a fool: but whoso walketh wisely, he shall be delivered.
箴28:27 賙濟貧窮的、不致缺乏．佯為不見的、必多受咒詛。
He that giveth unto the poor shall not lack: but he that hideth his eyes shall have many a curse.
箴28:28 惡人興起、人就躲藏．惡人敗亡、義人增多。
When the wicked rise, men hide themselves: but when they perish, the righteous increase.
